Ube Stuffed Croissant Waffles (Croffle)
The Croffle is a delicious sweet treat for anyone who can't pick between having a waffle or croissant! This recipe includes Fila Manila's Ube spread and Crunchy Black Sesame Butter from our friends at Rooted Fare.
Add a croissant to a waffle maker and you get a croffle with crispy edges and a flakey center – in other words, the perfect treat. Stuff it with your favorite flavors like ube coconut and black sesame for a twist on a new classic.

Ingredient List
- 1 package croissant dough, thawed
- Oil
- Fila Manila Ube Coconut Spread
- Rooted Fare's Crunch Black Sesame Butter
- Berries (optional)
- Whipped Cream (optional)
- Maple Syrup of Agave (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the waffle maker until hot.
- Roll out croissant dough and separate dough triangles on pre-perforated lines.
- Smear about 1 tbsp of Ube Coconut Spread or Crunchy Black Sesame Butter on triangles, leaving about half an inch of space from the edges. Gently roll, starting from widest side.
- Once waffle maker is hot, grease the iron. Place the stuffed croissant on the iron and cook for 1.5 to 3 minutes, until golden brown.
- Top with your favorite toppings, like berries, whipped cream, and syrup. For more flavor, add spreads to the top. Enjoy!

Don’t overstuff your croissants or the filling may leak out! Replace with your favorite fillings and try it with fruit. Store in the freezer and pop into a toaster oven when you’re ready to eat them again.
