Sweet and Sour Banana Ketchup Meatballs
These sweet and sour meatballs were always a go-to recipe to serve when guests were coming over. These meatballs would always disappear from the plate faster than anything else! They’re great to serve as an appetizer to a main course or just simply a flavorful snack. But what is the secret to this recipe that makes it such a crowd pleaser? It's banana ketchup! The unique tang of the banana ketchup condiment compliments appetizer meatballs perfectly, while adding a Filipino flair that will have your guests singing your culinary praises!

Ingredients:
- 2 pounds bulk pork sausage
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 cup Fila Manila Banana Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine sausage and egg. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on a greased rack in a baking pan. Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes or until an internal temperature of 160°F, and drain.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until sugar is dissolved.
- Transfer meatballs to a slow cooker. Add the sauce and stir gently to coat. Cover and keep warm on low until serving on to appetizer plate.
